Loud Pop/Clunk going forward then reverse
Loud Pop/Clunk going forward then reverse
The sound only happens when going forward from a stop then reverse.
Once it pops and I continue in the same direction, the sound doesn't happen again, only if I go the opposite direction.
I searched for Clunk, Pop, Clang, metal sound, and noise, but couldn't find the same issue.
I attached a sound clip.
The clutch was replaced along with a passenger CV shaft, end links, and compliance bushings.
Can anyone help?
I tried tightening the Axle nut, but its still there.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jay

I ended up taking it back to the garage that did the original work. The front end was clanky and loud which ended up being a loose endlink. I don't know how I missed it; always good to get another set of eyes on it I guess.
That clunk noise in the attachment ended up being a faulty driveshaft on the passenger side. The tech replaced it and could not reproduce the sound. But I want to drive it a little more to try and reproduce it.
