Loud humming sound when idling

I just began experiencing a loud hum when idling..the speed and pitch change when in neutral or park. I'm also experiencing faint lines on my nav screen when idling. Any ideas as to what's wrong?

Any Idea where the humming is coming from? I it isolated within the car or engine bay? Do you have an auxiliary wire plugged in?

It's coming from the engine when idling. The lines on the nav go away as does the noise when I accelerate. I did have a phone charger hooked up but unplugged it with no change in the symptoms.

Is this hum coming out of your speakers? And does it change when you turn the volume up or down?

No..I only hear it when the sound system is off. It seems to go away when I accelerate as do the lines on the nav screen hence I think they're related.

The lines may be due to bad grounding, may have nothing to do with the humming noise. Pop the hood and try to pinpoint where the humming is coming from in the engine compartment. Does the humming get louder as you rev? may be the idler pulley making that sound. Check around your belts. The reason i asked about auxiliary port is if you have a plug in the auxiliary port and the other end is not in a device the speakers may emit a humming noise that gets louder as you accelerate.

Memory seats & mirror tilt doesn't go down in reverse. Also the airbag illumination never appears when everything else does. I would really appreciate the help

does the noise get louder when you turn the steering wheel from a complete stop? maybe it's coming from the power steering system?
