My 2004 Acura TL is at 176.000 miles, has had all engine mounts replaced as well as a new (used) trany installed. NOW, it just about a week ago gave off a loud POP which I felt while driving. After inspection, nothing found. My car has been squeaking for some time but now when I pull out of my garage and turn or pull into a parking spot, it is making such a loud cracking noise, I have no idea what it could be. Defiantly metal noise. Any ideas???

Would they make such a loud CRACK CRACK CRACK? Also, would they be the cause of the squeaky spring noise while turning. I have had the squeak for about the last year and the cracks are new.

Squeaky spring sounds like your suspension is failing.

Just throwing this out there...but when I had my 1995 Accord (I took a turn too fast in the wet) and it popped the sway bar end links out and the axle area would make these really nasty loud crack/pop noises whenever I turned. So something to think about from my own personal experience. Hope you get the issue ID'ed soon!

Thank all for the replies! I'm going to get it looked at this next week as I have a 5 hour drive through the mountains to make at the end of the month and last time I drove it, my transmission went out. I will keep you guys posted! :-)

P.S I will be sure to mention those things that you guys suggested!
