Loud clunk from AC compressor when cold
Loud clunk from AC compressor when cold
Google-FU is failing me today...
Whenever it's cold out (say, below 35 degrees), the first time I turn on the air there is a loud clunk, which I imagine comes from the AC compressor kicking on. After that initial clunk, everything is fine - I can turn the AC or the whole system on and off without any strange noises.
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and if it could be indicative of developing problems that I should be aware of.

Mine has made this loud clunk for several years now. Like yours, mine started when it was cold out upon first use. Now it happens pretty much daily the first time it is used. After the first clunk of the day, it is quiet and fully functional. I am pretty sure mine has been like this for 4+ years now.
