Looking for a Manual Transmission

A Mr. Transmission shop in Clarksville, IN screwed up my transmission (please, yes, I know now that I should never have let them touch it) and, after a long battle, I am now searching for a replacement. Any suggestions, sources, etc.?

I have a 2006 M/T with 145k on the clock.

Thanks all!

check out car-part.com

fill out the required blanks and it will list local junkyards with available transmissions for you with prices and location

Just as a late follow up, my mechanic and I went through 5 faulty used transmissions before giving up and deciding to buy the internal components and do a rebuild.

How much was each transmission? Probably cheaper to rebuild in the first place depending on what you paid for the 5 trannys.

How exactly did they break your transmission? It takes a lot of abuse.

It's a long story, but essentially, they were replacing my reverse gear after an incident involving the failure of the reverse lockout solenoid and my failure to aim correctly when moving from 4th to 6th... Anyway, the original transmission shop didn't install reverse right and it destroyed itself within a few months.

My mechanic took responsibility for finding a replacement. He sent them back when they were faulty. I'm not sure how much freight he ended up eating. I'm sure this job has been even more of a loss to him has it has been for me. Hindsight being 20/20, a rebuild in the first place would have been better for everyone.
