I just bought an 08 TL-S (41,000 miles), love the car but has the an issue with the locks. I have searched this forum and it sounds like it could be the drive side actuator or power lock relay so the fuse box or ?...but I want a second opinion before I start putting money into trying to fix it.

So here is what I am dealing with: The key fob works great, no issues with that all. The issues start when I start driving, the doors are already unlock but the car wants to keep unlocking all the door and it varies how often it does it. Sometimes once every 30 seconds and then to could go once every 10 to 30 minutes, there is no rhyme or reason other than all doors do it. When I do lock the doors (which I cant always do with the driver or passenger switch) it will just unlock the doors in time. But both door switches will always unlock the doors.

I did disconnect the battery for 10 or so minutes but that didnt help

Hopefully someone can give me some insight on what it could be!

 

unplug your door lock switches one at a time until the problem stops and then you know what switch to replace.

 

Okay, so you are saying that either one of the door lock switches has gone bad and wants to unlock itself while forcing the others to do the same? Sorry, not questioning you, just trying to make sure I understand whats going on.

If that's the case does anyone know the part number for the door switches? Thanks!

 

yes, one of your switched could be damaged/defective/broken and that is why I said unplug 1 at a time to see if that is the cause of your random unlocking.
