Light oil residue in spark plug hole

2007 TL type S just recently replaced both valve covers because of oil leaks and also replaced all tube seals because had oil inside cylinder #2. After running for a couple miles I am still noticing very small amounts of oil inside of cylinder #2, could it be valve stems or spark plug tubes themselves?

Any chance it was just some residual oil in the plug tube or on the coil?

Im going to pull plug again this weekend and see if im still collecting oil in hole. Now that you mentioned it I did notice the bottom of the coil oily too. But this time Im going to spray brake cleaner down the hole and thoroughly clean it out and see what happens.

I replaced the valve cover gaskets and tube seals on my 2005 last year. By far the hardest part for me was 1. removing the plug seals without scratching the tubes and 2. making sure the plug seals lined up correctly when installing the covers. Aligning the back cover (1,2,3) was especially hard because of no room to see down the hole. I had to use a mirror and plastic stick to make sure the seals were seating correctly.

I'd check to make sure the seals are seated correctly. If you still have a leak, I'd pull the rear cover to check the tube under the seal. Most of youtube mechanics use a screwdriver to pull out the old seal. If you slip, very easy to scratch the side of the tube where the seal rests. If the scratch is longer than the seal side, you might leak a little oil.

^A basic seal puller tool makes a world of difference with those tube seals. Also useful for e.g. crankshaft pulley gasket.
