Leather on passenger seat

I've had my 2008 TL for a little over a year now. One minor thing that's always bothered me is that the leather on the passenger seat appears to be messed up. Please take a look at the photos and let me know what you think.
Oddly enough, the other three seats are in pristine condition, so I'm not sure why this one in particular would look this way.

Have any of you dealt with this (especially with light-colored leather)? Anything I can do to resolve this and restore the seat's original appearance?

Thanks!

With that damage, I'd have a leather shop repair it and I'm sure it could be done so it's not noticeable.

easiest to just replace the leather at an upholstery shop when it gets worse

Thumbs up

I can't tell very well from the picture, but it looks like tears between the perforations in the leather. If so, I've got a tear like that on my passenger seat that I found yesterday (after one of my friends decided to sit in my car and jostle around- what a moron). I'm NOT looking forward to having to fix it.

But if it's a stain of some sort...not sure what to do about that.

Clean it. Turn the seat warmer on and when it is nice and warm, clean it with a rag and/or toothbrush with diluted simple green. No, this will not hurt it. Afterwards, clean with leather cleaner.

I will give this a try over the weekend. It doesn't look like actual damage as much as embedded dirt on this one seat -- hopefully that will do the trick! (Although I would have thought the dealer would have been able to resolve this before putting on their lot as a CPO.. ).

Try just using the leather cleaner first just to see if it works. If not, do what I suggested. I have the same color as yours. Good luck. Keep us updated.

Seats not going to feel warm with the seat heater on and no one sitting in the seat.

whatever you do don't steam clean, the dealer I got my car from steam cleaned the passenger side lower portion of the seat and the leather dried out shortly after I bought the car now it cracks with any kind of pressure, it sucks, i've been looking for a used oe replacement for quite some time now

anyone know if tsx seats are the same as tl? a quick glance and they appear the same though i've never really taken a hard look at them side by side
