Exclamation Leaking fluid -- just need some confirmation!

Hi everyone, been around here for a few months since I bought my 08 Base TL, and you all have been a great help! However, after doing a search this time around, I wasn't that confident in the results that came up, since it wasn't exactly the same as what I was hoping -- but here goes my cry for help.

So I was shoveling snow after this lovely NYC blizzard, and when moving my car, my dad noticed a leak on the snow right where the red circle is:

The leak was a dark red in color, and when smelling it, it didn't smell at all like oil, so I decided to rule that possibility out. (Yes, I know my finger looks like it's turning into something out of World War Z, but I swear it's ice!)

So I decided to pop the hood open, and look at where the PS fluid reservoir was, since it was in the same area as the leak, and it appears as if one hose was in fact leaking.

It even looked like the silver metal piece (clearly car saavy) was a little wet, so that made it point to PS fluid as well, but I'm not sure.

I have no idea if that kind of "seeping" or "leaking" or whatever is normal, because I've seen some pictures from members' engine bays where the hose looks kind of the same, with some fluid by the connection there, but I'm paranoid, and I desperately care for my car, and I just wanted someone to confirm whether or not it is a PS fluid leak. I recently took the car to Mavis to change the tires, and they also did a flush of the PS fluid and brakes fluid, so could it be possible that they didn't put the hose back on tight enough or something? I also checked the reservoir, and it seemed to be at the top still, so I'm not sure if it's something more mechanical.

The car has not given me ANY problems whatsoever, and it's been running perfectly fine *knocks on wood* so any kind of tip on what to look for, or any confirmation on it being PS fluid would be great.

I ran the VIN on Honda's recall website, and there are no open recalls, so I'm assuming the PS fluid recall was done. I remember somewhere on the Acura Owner's website saying that it was done by the previous owner, so I'm not sure at all!

Thanks for all of the help in the past, by far the best site I've ever been on!

power steering fluid, as that's the power steering reservoir.

you can see the seepage of oil from that hose.
buy new hose.
replace.

Second what justn said. It happens often with the PS hoses because they're close to the motor. They crack or get misshaped as they dry and then seep oil if you ever move them. No leak is normal, no matter what you've seen on pictures around here.

What I imagine happened is they removed it for the PS fluid flush, replaced it with the clamp (it's only a spring clamp, cannot tighten it too much or too little) but since then it's been weeping fluid.

Edit: And yes, 11 seems about right justn!

Okay, so I'm probably going to get 11, I found it online through one of the vendors, but do you guys advise getting two new clamps as well? Where it says "24?"

Check the reservoir level to be certain.
if the goof who owned it before allowed ATF to be put into the PS reservoir I would check with a flashlight and change it out to the proper honda PS fluid. ATF is used in certain cars for PS but honda requires their fluid. ATF is cherry red, honda PS is like new engine oil. Especially considering how picky these cars are with the PS pump and their components.

Alright, but when Mavis did the flush, wouldn't it have gotten rid of ATF if it was in there in the first place?

Clamps rarely are the issue. You may need a new soft inlet hose. About $30 CDN
