Question Leaking Fluid

I have noticed over the past few days that my car is leaking a brownish yellow fluid. The fluid is coming from the front drivers side of the car. It's a very small amount of fluid but It bothers the shit out of me. Could it be brake fluid? Anyone have any thoughts?

look at the brake master cylinder - is it still full?

Not sure if gen3 same as my gen2- we have fluid filled front/rear motor mounts and when they leak, its a fluid like none I had ever seen before!
Tends to drop almost dead center of the car just behind the radiator (under the motor mount)
Does that sound familair?

sounds like it could be the issue. It's leaking from just off center to the left and the fluid looks like a muddy piss color.

If you can get the car on ramps and look up at the motor mount....
They run about (gen2 prices) $120 for the mount and its about a real hour to install- dealer gets 1.5 hours.

On gen2 its usually found above 50k miles when the trans takes a dive and its in the shop- the tech sees the leak and knows it take a few minutes to change while the trans is removed for warranty replacement- then its 30 bucks labor instead of 200! thats a decent price~

You may be able to stick your hand down from the top of the engine to the mount and feel under it for fluid.
An inspection mirror will help here

I'm at 40k and still under warranty. I might just have to make an appointment.

heres a way to see if your mounts are damaged. Drive for 10 minutes and then stop, leave the car in drive. While holding the brake and the car in D, check to see if there is any vibration in the shifter or in the steeringwheel. If yes, you have damaged motor mounts.
