Leak when it rains

04 TL leaks at the driver's side airbag when it rains. Has anyone experience the same issue?

I did on my old 87 Legend. Turned out the be a clogged sunroof drain. You may want to get a compressor and blow out each drain hole. There should be 4. One in each corner of the sunroof area. If that is not it, it may be the weather stipping of your driver's door. That's easy to replace. Hope you find where it coming from and can fix it. Welcome to AZ

+1 the drain holes are most likely clogged with leaves and dirt

Sorry Folks, the side curtain airbag on the drivers side is whats leaking. I did pure a bucket of water in the sunroof drain and its all flow thorugh no leak. I next turn the graden hose on the roof and let it flow onto the windshield
for about 5 minutes and sure enough it starts leaking. Im now thinking the leak may be coming form the top of the windshield. see pic

Check the drivers door seal in that area. Windshield developing a leak (unless it was removed recently, or impacted to cause damage) isn't a very common thing.

Checked the door seal no sign of water. windshield had never been removed nor vehicle was in any accident. I will check the drip seal for damage...thanks for the feedback

Side curtain airbag

Does anyone out there any instructions on how to remove the molding which houses the side curtain airbag? I'm trying to locate the exact region where the leak is developing from.

Thanks in advance

Same thing! Leak from driver's side curtain airbag

I know this is an OLD thread, but I have the same EXACT thing happening, water leaking from the driver's side curtain airbag. Was the issue ever resolved/figured out? '05 Acura TL

I have the same on my '08 also.

I recently spent a week or two driving around with the interior trim off while I recovered the headliner and was able to rule out the sun roof drain as the source. It was coming from near the corner of the windshield, inside of the roof structure that leads down to the point where the receiving hole for the retainer clip (that has the side airbag label) is. That's why it comes out at that point.

The procedure in the manual for removing the exterior trim strip looks like a pain, but I plan to give it a shot anyway to get a look behind and maybe try some re-sealing to stop the leak.
