In trying to change my settings I receive a message that "customizing not available until linked to remote" Any ideas on how to correct this so that I can move on with the settings?

 

Turn your key fob over. It'll tell you how to link and unlink to the remotes.

 

Thanks, but my TL is an 05 and there is nothing on the other side of my key or fob.

 

Sorry, my 06 key fob has instructions...
says to push unlock and lock at the same time to link/unlink memory seat.

 

Yes, it's possible you've inadvertently disabled the memory function by pushing the lock/unlock at the same time. Just press them both again at the same time and then try to change your settings.

BTW, this is all in your owner's manual, pg 86 or so.

similar question but not really,,,just had a new key cut and it was for driver1...now I have two Driver1 keys that work and Driver2 key does not function....Is it possible that only two master keys could be programmed to vehicle?

Dealer must have disabled my Driver2 key?

Anyonle has had this problem before?
