Key Fobs, Memory Seats
Key Fobs, Memory Seats
2005 TL, just purchased used of course. Car came with two key fobs. BOTH are driver ONE key fobs, according to the back of them, both for driver one. Obviously one of them doesn't go to this car, the dealer screwed up. One of the fobs works and recognizes me as driver 1. I get in, I can cycle through the settings of 30s lights off, door lock at 10mph, etc. all that stuff. For some reason though, I cannot add my radio presets or seat position to memory1. According to the manual, briefly hold down and then release the memory button on the door, I should hear a beep, then press memory 1 and it will save my settings in the memory 1 slot. I hold down and release the memory button on the car door and I don't ever hear the beep. Am I missing something? I have tried pressing it and releasing, holding it for a few seconds and releasing, pressing it at the same time as driver 1, still nothing. Any ideas are much appreciated...
Secondary question...is there a way to program that other "driver 1" transmitter to work as MY driver 2?

Answer your first question, I do it while car is running and in park (not sure if it matters) press the memory button briefly, the Mem 1 and mem 2 lights will BOTH light up, press and hold the Mem 1 Button for about 3 seconds, the light will flash meaning its programmed.
To answer your second question, you cannot change your Driver 1 transmitter to work with your Driver 2 settings. Sorry

When you press and hold the memory button briefly, do you hear a beep before you are pressing the memory 1 button?
