In regards to my 2004 Acura TL:

I bought it used, and it came with one key. I bought another a key, and keyless entry remote for it off ikeyless.com. I programmed the Remote to work, and it works fine. However, I went to the locksmith to get my key cut. It fits into the ignition, but the engine wont start. When I ordered the key they asked me what year and model my car was, so I'm assuming it has that chip in it. If anyone knows whats wrong with it, let me know (whether I have to program the key, or i HAVE to get it from the dealership or something) . THANKS

 

You have to program the key to the car. Call around and see if locksmiths can do it.

 

take it to the dealer and have the new key/s programed under "all keys lost", that way any other keys that are floating around cant start your car.
