I Have a 06 TL with a K&N SRI, and my fiance's 05 mazda 3. I need to clean the fiters, so I bought the K&N "Recharger kit". It comes with a air filter clean,and air filter oil system. Part number 99-5000.

I am wondering if the TYPHOON filter need oiling or not. The instructions show a square filter, not cone, so I am wondering if I got the right one?

well first of you need to shake the dirt out. Little bit dont need to go krazy, then you need to apply that cleaning solution on to the whole filter... the one that comes with the kit and let it do its work for about 15 minutes or so. After that is done you need to rinse it of under water and let it dry on its own. When done u need to spray oil evenly on the filter, make sure u dont put to much. and thats it.. its very simple.

Following directions with the k&n kit is easy and you can get several times out of one kit.
