Just Slammed my car.. Vibration in 2nd Gear

I just slammed my car, pretty low on Function and Form coilovers.. it rides very smooth most of the time, bit i get a vibration accelerating in low RPM's in 2nd gear.

is it the axel? does anyone else have this problem with their slammed 3G tl?

Never heard of them being put on a 3G TL. You should ask this question in the suspension & tires section. Sounds like a driveline vibration. Unless you change your setup you might have to just live with it for now.

yea its really not that bad. only between 2000-3000 rpm in 2nd gear. ill see if it goes away after an alignment.

There is a post about this somewhere, I couldn't find it, but someone had the exact same problem, they raised it up a bit and everything was fine... I know that isn't probably the best solution, but he was pretty low...

I've made a post about this while ago. I was dropped on Tein SS (to the max, no thread left on sleeves) and notice when accelerating in low rpm the car would vibrate pretty bad. I figured being dropped that low on Tein SS was not within specs of their height recommendation. The instruction said to leave atleast 1 inch of thread to be within specs. So, I tired it and the vibration problem was at a minimum. Wasn’t too noticeable but was still there. Also, I do have front & rear camber kit.

I'm assuming that’s the problem you’re experiencing. I don’t quite understand because I had OMNI Coilovers on my 6thgen Accord and was slammed to the max with no problems.

I guess being lower... you have to sacrifice the ride quality.

is it ONLY 2nd gear? AT or MT? try accel. in a diff gear at the same speeds.

mine does this as well. I'm not terribly low, just tucking slightly in front, rear is flush. no rubbing so im assuming its the cv axels, but seems like other people are having the problem too??? and they are fixing it by raising the car up a bit??? I think it would be better to find the source of the problem rather than fixing it indirectly.

take a look at this:

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-problems-fixes-117/vibration-after-lowering-car-744306/#post11317317

question is, how much does the car have to be raised in order to get rid of the vibrations?

BTW: To keep from eating through tires, you will need to get an alignment every time you change ride height. Camber is not so important. It's toe you need to worry about...

yea i drive a 6 spd MT. it vibrates in low rpms mostly in 2nd gear, and barely in 3rd. i dont have a camber kit and dont plan on getting one (toe is the only concern for me).

the car is tucking tire front and rear.. function and form coilovers give me full shock travel so the ride isnt bad. im guessing its the CV boots.

still waiting for the shocks to settle so i can adjust the final height and get an alignment.

yes its the cv's but replacing them might not fix your problem. it will probably come back. im going to raise the car up a tad which will hopefully fix my problem as well as help out with scraping around town. the front sits lower than the rear anyway.

I am having the same problem.
I just installed tein ss and I have a rear vibration at lower RPM once I go over 30mph the vibration desapeer. I have front and rear camber kit and did an alignment. I will try this weekend raising the back just a little hope this fixes the problem. I recently purchase a used tire because one of my tires had a big knot on the side wall. My first impresion after the ss install probably the tire was not balance correctly. I took it to a diffent shop and they notice that my oem rim has a small dent.
