iphone interference with TL?

I just purchased an 08 TL and I'm having a crackling/static sound possibly thru the Nav speaker. I believe its TDMA interference from my iphone; it doesn't do this when the iphone isn't in the car. Anybody else experiencing this and know how to fix it?

TDMA interference?! Are you using an unlocked iphone?? Where is your phone placed in the car when it happens? From all cars I have had, there is always interference in the radio whenever the phone is close to the head unit.

I keep my blackberry in the cupholder and havent had problems. My dads Iphone (using GSM like ALL iphones do) caused interference when I put it in the cubby hole under the head unit

I have noticed the same thing with my iphone. It does it to most electronics that have speakers and i dont think it matters whether the phone is in the cubby or if its in your pocket. my computer is next to my tv and i only hear the static while the phone is ringing but not when you answer it so im sure there some type of radio wave interference. have you found this to be true or do you get constant static?

I had interference crackling/static sound at all different times when I kept my iphone in the cup holder. I have now put it in the center console and it seems to stop the problem.
The further away the phone is from the nav speaker, the better.

its the wi-fi. if you put it on airplane mode it eliminates the static.
