Exclamation Interior Trim Replacement

I need to know if I could get any assistance on changing the interior trim on the 2007 Type-S. The part is the silver carbon-fiber looking piece that lines in right side of the driver/left side passenger (middle console trim). Is there a tutorial on changing out this item? And I've tried looking for a part number and cannot locate it.

Thanks again.

Regards.

that piece should pull right out. it's held in by clips and not screws. it'll take a little bit of force but it'll come right out. i recommend starting from where it meats the arm rest and work your way up. don't go crazy as it might bend the aluminum trim.

I would insert the knife under the trim then slowely rotate the blade from hor. to vert. and the trim would pop up. When you get to the top of the trim, there are clips holding it in place. Grasp the trim at the curve (right next to the accessory doors) and gently pull away. The clips will pop right out.

Oddly, I just posted earlier today instructions on where to find this info. Must've been for a different member.

Yep, I guess I should've looked a bit further. Your awesome though, thanks for the info. Do you know the part name / number off chance? I have sifted through every page of online part catalogs and I can't find it - the closest was the rear console diagram. Thanks.

No problem. It was just odd to have that question twice within a few hours. At first I thought it was the same person both times.

Do they go back on as easy? Mine are all scratched up and I think I going to replace them.

I have taken mine out before, they are pretty easy as long as you are careful taking them out and don't break any of the clips you shouldn't have any issues or rattles when you're done.

They go back on easier than they come off...just be careful and make sure the plastic is not too cold when you attempt.

Anyone know the best place to buy these parts? I have an 04 with dinged up driver's piece from previous owner putting on seatbelt. I saw the prices for the 07 TL pieces and holy frijoles, Batman! I want to replace mine, but not at $175 a pop.
