I bought this car recently and was about at 59K when i purchased the vehicle... I'm at about 70K now and I just started noticing an extremely annoying issue around the plastic woodgrain-esque material by my shifter.

I attached a link to the image... the area in red is where I am hearing the squeaks/rattles from and if I press down with not much force at all where the arrow is pointing the squeaks/rattles go away.

Anyone ever experience this issue or know of a fix for it??

Ya I did .. that outer ring pops off and I just used white lithium grease and rubbed it on the underside ... watch some spray lubes .. the carriers may not be plastic friendly.

It's just when I popped that outter ring off there was adhesive velcro stuck to the underside... was this on yours? or do you think the people who had the car before me put this here.

I hear the exact same thing in mine. i noticed pressing down does it make noise go away, did you figure out a permanent fix?
