Interior door ding

Hi all, first post here. Just purchased an '05 TL. On the driver door, a few inches from the security light/door lock, there is a dent about an inch long and a quarter inch wide. The leather? isn't puctured, just a dent. Is there any way to repair this?

no pic right now. The car has tan leather interior and there is a black leather molding at the top of each door where the door lock button is. I guess it could have happened if the driver seat were slid way forward and the door was shut on the seatbelt and left for a while. Just wondering if the material under the leather permanently dents or can it be coaxed out with some heat/expansion like a hair drier?

any upholstery shop should be able to take it out with some heat and some new foam under the spot to help level it out.

Problem solved...It's a certified preowned and the dealer ordered and installed a new door panel. Also replaced the battery as it failed 3 days after getting the car home. I think I like this dealership.

It will likely happen again...it's from where some drivers rest their elbow while driving. My '05 and '07 both have dents in the same place on the door panel.
