Inside the intake

04 TL
166,500 miles

Took off the top of the intake plenum today to check out the inside and its pretty gross. Whats the best way to clean it in your experiences, and should i replace that top gasket? Also any tq specs? See pic and advise

166K! thats not bad at all! just go by feel. I think the torque is like 6ftlbs or something. the bolts are easily broken. I believe there is a built in stop, just go easy

yeah i was talking with my buddy whos a honda tech, (im a subie/nissan guy). ive never messed with a j series before so i didnt know how much gunk was "normal" in these motors and he said mine was one of the cleanest he's seen with the amount of miles i have and for me to leave it alone and just put the cover back on, he said the tq specs are 8.7 ft pds for anybody who needed to know . thanks.. boring snowy day here.
