I’ve had my innovative motor mount set in for about 10 years now. There has always been this 1” gap between the side bracket and side mount. I had my mechanic do the install and afterwards he informed me that my motor had risen about an inch. In turn, he ended up putting spacers in between to fill gap.
I took a closer look at everything yesterday and everything is bolted down correctly. There’s no loose bolts or any bent parts. There is obviously no issue with the bushings as it’s been like this since day one.
i’m very curious if anybody else has had this issue or can you tell me why my motor is sitting higher? Feel free to reply to me here or send me a DM on Instagram @alex.ua6.
Interesting, just an FYI, the guy below had similar fitment issues with aftermarket mounts back in the day, on his 2G TL-S build with xlr8 mounts, then he switched to innovative.

The innovative mounts fit alot better but still needed some spacers Motor bolted down on the xlr8 mounts front, rear and passenger side. Xlr8 and innovative mounts Innovative rear mount Innovative front mount Passenger side innovative mount spaced with some temporary washers Motor sitting straighter and not crooked mounted 3/4" spacers might need to go taller on the passenger side. to make some spacers for passenger mount and trans mounts.
