Injen Installation

After I installed my Injen intake this afternoon, i tried revving the engine to hear the difference. However, the engine would only rev to 5,500 RPMs. At that point, the car would start making weird "wub wub" sounds. Also, when i revved hard, i'd hear an initial popping sound.

Anyone know what could be wrong? I rechecked all my work and retightened everything after the install, so I'm completely clueless as to the problem.

So it turns out that the TL has a rev limiter in neutral (5500 rpms, which is right about when VTEC kicks in). As for the initial "coughing" sound, I still have no idea.

I have the Injen in my TL and I think it's suppose to perform like that. Its like a rush of air going to your intake imediately shutting down the air. That's normal
