I'm Stumped! What do you think? (clutch/bearing/squeak)
Hey guys!
I am new to TL's but far from new honda's etc!
Cut to the Chase:
I have a slight, ever so slight sqeaking (almost like just rotating metal on metal.
So, just as soon as I barely press the clutch pedal it stops.
So I am thinking throw-out bearing? or low transmission fluid?
When I say slight, it is hardly audiable.
1. Possible fix I was thinking about - tightening up the clutch pedal to put a slight amount of pressure on whatever it is, so it stops.
2. Putting more trans fluid in.
3. Last but not lease, putting a new throw out bearing in..
Thanks!

OP:
Check the TSB's. There are a couple of TSB's for this.

The issue I am trying to describe is not that.
This is when the clutch is not being touched - there is a slight, rotating squeal comes from the transmission area.
I would assume it is the throw out bearing - but the clutch/flywheel where all just replaced.
I would assume that since they were there, they would have replaced the TOB.

After researching some more, I would think that it can't be the throw out bearing (because the noise is gone once the clutch pedal is pressed)
but maybe the pilot bearing or input shaft bearing squeal?

I am not really worried about it, i am pretty much an uncertified honda-mechanic haha..
but i am just trying to figure it out first.
It has to be the pilot bearing and or the input shaft bearing.
I am about to adjust the pedal to just apply slight pressure so it will eliminate the noise.

mines used to do that, ever so slight, then last month it got really bad, car is not driveable, i was able to limp it home but was shaking BAD, and now sounds like a golf size ball is loose in the bell housing when you release the clutch, but as long as the clutch is pressed in i can rev the engine up, i got the clutch kit, waiting to put it on next week,

Having same issue on my 08 6MT S. some sort of very low grinding sound as I depress the clutch pedal and shift. Will have dealer check it at next oil change interval.
