Idling problems, and a bad start.

I've been having weird idling problems since I had my transmission replaced by Acura. Recently, it got a lot worst. When the car is on park, the RPMs would go up and down, up and down constantly. So far the highest it reached was roughly 1500 RPM but this would only happen once in a while. Anyone might know what might be the problem? Also today, I had a really bad start when i was starting my car. It was cracking for a good 5-10 sec. before it started. Could it be the starter or spark plugs or wat can it be? I will be bringing the car to Acura this weekend since the car is still under warranty, but any information would be greatful. Thanks.
