the factory clutch kit is made by LUK.

this is when I pulled my clutch from my car. 2006 acura TL 6MT. the clutch had about 35k miles on it.

as you can see, it has LUK stamped on it.

I bought the car at 31k miles.

you are wondering why the clutch went out with so little miles.
The clutch is a wear and tear item.
if one does not know how to properly drive, you can wear the clutch out FAST.
So, a combination of the previous owner, test drivers, and myself learning how to drive led to an early death of the clutch.

my symptoms were:
when taking the car to redline, the clutch pedal would get SUPER STIFF. I had to pump the clutch a couple of times in order to get the regular pedal feel back.
I did the slave cylinder check valve delete. but did not help my stiff clutch.
I bled and re-bled, but did not help the stiff clutch.
only when I replaced the clutch is when all felt normal.

I bought the oem clutch set from acuraoemparts.com
for about $250.
they sell the flywheel as well.

I took the car to a shop, who installed the clutch for about $400.
when they were in there, they decided that my flywheel was fine.

so for about $700 total, I have a brand new clutch.
its been holding up fine, so far!!! I now have 50k miles on the car.
She's a garage queen, but I do beat on her.

sorry cant answer your questions about the mounts. as I do not know.

I did the check valve to try to eliminate my stiff clutch pedal.
after I did the mod, I got the clutch replaced.
So, I'm not sure if it made a difference, as I was looking only to solve my clutch problems.

i can answer your question on the mounts...they're pretty easy. just unbolt them, jack up the transmission slightly, and swap them out for the new ones, and bolt everything back on. done.

i did the cluth my self and let me tell you, it says 8 hours on paper but i ended up pulling the car to the shop sunday at noon and wasnt done with it till monday morning at 5am, thats working straight with a few snack breaks.. 8 hours is for the dealer with the special tools and all that, lowering the frame, supporting the engine from the top and lowering the transmission at the same time was a pain but its a great learning experience, should i wear out my clutch again im sure i can do it in less time since i know what to look for but it isnt easy you gotta take out alot of parts...

btw i replace my clutch with another oem by luk and i got it from clutchcity for around 300 including next day shipping.. i didnt need to replace my flywheel tho my friend (the real mechanic) looked at it and said it was fine...

it helps a lot to remove the drivers front wheel to have room for tools for the transmission mount

i did it for convenience, we were working around it 1st but taking it off gave us extra room in the front and also made thing more visually easy specially when lowering the subframe... it comes off very easy and it goes back on pretty easy as well
