Question HVAC / Climate Control Screen Backlight

I have a family member with an '04 TL Navi A-SPEC edition. The climate control/HVAC system works fine, but the display above the navi that shows the temperature and fan speed is intermittently off. If you tap the top of the dash it will blink back on. I also discovered that the display is fine, but it's the backlight that is shutting off because you can see it if you shine a flashlight at the screen. Is there any way to fix it or do I need to pull the screen out and replace it? I can't tell if it's an integrated backlight like a computer or if it is lit by individual LEDs.

You will have to replace the whole unit. Make sure you get the correct one.
