Am going to flush my coolant system in my 2007 tl. Was going to dealer to get coolant. Do I need 1 or 2 gallons of coolant. Only want to make one trip. Thanks.

 

From the quick google search I just did, it looks like you will need at least 2 gal

 

Radiator drain and fill would be 1 gallon.

 

2.2 gallons

 

2 was enough for me when I flushed my coolant

 

Why?

 

Did you all also drain the coolant from the rear of the engine block, as well as the bottom of the radiator?

I am not sure why they say "after engine overhaul"..

 

The "after overhaul" refers to a completely dry engine I believe. When you drain coolant by just opening the radiator drain cock, not all of the coolant drains; some is left in the block.

I don't know if the J32A3 has block draining bolts like some engines.
