eek.. murphy's law.
Good luck with the ball joint replacement TJ! Could be worse.. if it were @justnspace, he would have torn the boot, mushroomed the bolt, pulled the ball joint out of the socket, and seized the puller over the arm and bolt.

I'm sure there should be a line about a blown engine or smashed bumper somewhere in there also

That's the backstory to why he needed to pop LBJ in the first place

you can rent the fork looking tool from any auto stores and try popping it out that way. You will need a new lower ball joint now. Good luck.

With the fork, you'll definitely need a new LBJ

I think he will need one regardlessly because he took a hammer to the threads and now it is mushroomed so the castle nut wont' go back on.

Just make sure no Vatozone or Advance auto stuff. You will be redoing again in a few thousand miles.

OEM is always a good bet, Moog if they fixed the issue with the bore of the ball joints.

It's because you gave the whole team ABJ before game time.

Damn bro...BFH isn't always the best approach...whenever I start going to town on something, I always think now...there's got to be a better way...
