whistle? doesn't sound normal to me, try and switch the vents closed, or it could be misaligned hood

definitely not normal

Its a pressure relief valve for a supercharger. Lots of time a high pitched whistle is a leak someplace in the intake system

i don't think it's the intake..it was doing this noise with the stock intake and it's doing it now with an aem cai..i forgot to mention that when i am going 70 miles and i heas the whistle, if i let go slightly of the gas pedal for a second the noise goes away and the moment i put my foot on the gas pedal the noise comes back..

time to invest in a CAI imo ;-)

god damn it everyone's avatar shows the metallic stripe on the front bumper lower grill...did EVERYBODY just take their bumper off and use the chrome strips?!?! >< god damn it

whistling sound is most likely your intake if the "rest of your car looks normal"

Never heard it on mine. Although I don't cruise at that speed much - more city driving.

Do you have the P2R TB spacer by chance?

My wife's VERY stock Jeep Liberty does the same exact thing. I have no clue what the heck is whistling like that. It comes and goes with the gas though like you said. To make the noise stop, let up on the gas a bit, step on the gas the noise will carry on longer. Yep. Sucks, no clue what it is.

I have a similar issue on th 02 TL-S, when I am at constant speed in between 55-60km/h, I hear a whistling noise which goes away as soon I take the foot off the gas or I drive outside of the 55-60km range by either accelerating and decelerating out of that range, please let me know if you find out what that is, I don't have any aftermarket intakes in the car.

nothing so far.. took the car to a second dealer, i drove the car with a technician who told me it sounds like there is something wrong with the tranny and that he would have to run it by his manager..
1 hour later the verdict was out..normal characteristic of the type-s..took my car and left the dealer..i was so pissed...............
