High pitch acceleration noise
I have an '04 TL with A/T and 47K.
When I accelerate, I hear a high pitch whistling noise. To my kids it sounds like a fire engine. The noise increases as the gears change. Once the gears change, the noise subsides and begins to increase again. Once I am at 40 MPH, the noise disappears.
Question 1: Is any one familiar with this description?
I've taken the car to the dealer, who thought that the transmission was faulty. They replaced it, but the noise is still there. I am bringing it back to the dealer on the 28th, because supposedly there is an Acura specialist that does monthly dealer calls to help out with problems. The dealer said, that the specialist can analyze the issue better then them.
Question 2: Is anyone familiar with this "roving specialist"?

I concur...
I had mine tightened before and the sound was gone. Then it came back...
So they ordered me a new one. The sound went away again..And then of course, it came back.
I'm about to go over to the Acura headquarters and give them an earful since I now live in Torrance, CA.
Why can't they get this right already?
I even went through a tranny replacement, just like you.
