High Mileage 04 TL A/T Stuttering

Hey there. New to the forums & coming with some problems lol

Roughly 183k miles on my 04 TL a/t.
For a while now the car will randomly "stutter" when shifting into 2/3/4th gears.
Feels like it's about to slip then eventually catches itself.
Speeds vary, could be on the highways 50+mph or residential 20+mph.
It does seem like it happens at low RPMs more often though.

It has me thinking of getting rid of it and just upgrading to the 4G TL

Anyone with similar problems or any advice?

Thanks

You have not read the forums at all, have you? That has to be the most common major issue with the 04-06 TL!

Do the pressure switches and a 3x3 ATF drain and fill. Hope for the best.

Sorry about that, probably should of searched around first.

A quick search on the switches says 3rd & 4th only, that should suffice?

Also, being so high in mileage a full drain & fill may be too much on the tranny?

That's exact. 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches.

On Honda auto transmission you don't do a full drain, you drain ~3 qts, then fill in 3qts, 3 times. Hence the 3 (qts) x 3 (times)

Also replace the trans filter, A/B Pressure Silenoid and gasket.

Clean the screens at the bottom of the three pipes and replace the three O-rings.
