HID replacement
HID replacement
One of my HID's has stopped working and the dealer (here in Canada) is quoting me approx $170 for one bulb plus $40 labour to replace plus tax.
I've been looking online for replacement bulbs but I want to make sure I get something comparable, OEM if possible. I found this one on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true) does this look like it would do the trick or is it too good to be true?
I just can't come to terms with paying over $200 for a light bulb! (though I agree with Acura dealer guy...they are cool looking!)
thanks,
Keith

a new bulb. If that doesn't fix it they'd look at things like the ignitor.
It also seemed like it was slowing dying. After it went out, I could get it back for a few seconds by turning my lights on then off again. Now though, it's completely out. Sounds like a bulb to me but haven't had much experience with HID before.
Have others had similar issues and the problem ended up NOT being a bulb? I could see if I was in there playing around and didn't connect something securely but that area's been untouched since day 1.

So theoretically, if I get any 'HID D2S' then it should be a direct replacement? I don't any sort of adapter, etc?

My vote and that of a growing number of ziners if for Kaixen brand- they are the International Research place on lighting and have the trickest stuff and several patents on new technology going these days
5000k will give you very close to OE bulb color output
6000k will be a whiter with bluish tint- similar to OE but more pronounced blue, which
picks out road reflectors and lane markings/signs really well, especially in bad weather as I found yesterday. The road was under water but I could see the reflectors in the center and knew where my lane was.
Before having these bulbs I did not see nearly as well at night, let alone daytime bad weather!
azine vendor Excelerate carries them bulbs or try this place
