I have the 04 TL and my headlights were working fine. but today i came out from work and left light didn't turn on my fog and side are working good. but when i got home i turn my lights on and off 4 or 5 time and my both lights came on. so is not the bulb. i try to turn it off and back on and my left light did the same thing. so now the only way to get my lights on is turning it on and off 4 or 5 time..

what could be problem here??

 

could be the bulb death warning--they will turn pink for a second on startup too.
it it were ballast or ignitor it wouldnt work at all

First- swap the bulbs left to right and see if the problem follows the bulb-now you know its a bulb problem or not

if bulb- many of us use Kaixen brand 5000k for near stock color and excellent quality.
you can go 6000 but lose white light while gaining blue
Stock color is 4300k
on here- Excelerate is the guy to see or check the internet- 100 bucks a pair is a great deal compared to dealers 150 per bulb

ALWAYS relace bulbs in pairs- they change in color and brighness with age use and you want them to match

 

sounds like a bad inverter / ballast. Pretty common on the 3G. I would check the connection and the voltage in (DC) & out (AC). If it is the ballast, I would buy an aftermarket ballast since the OE ballast is a bit pricey!
