HID Controller - Easy Access?

Finally going to order a used, certified controller and ballast. I have a state safety inspection coming up and replacing the bulb didn't fix my issue (comes on about 2% of the time). I was going to swap out the ballast/controller from one side to other, to troubleshoot, but realized I didn't want to deal with the passenger side, so I put everything back together and will buy both parts. (Can you recommend a reputable online dealer?)

What is the easiest way to access the screws under the controller - the ones connecting it to its base? I have someone else's photo from another thread. The resonator chamber is in my way. (in the photo the base is the white part behind the chamber) Advise?

I don't think there is any other way to remove that without taking off the headlight. It's just like 5 or 6 #10mm bolts. You can't reach the bracket screws to remove the ballast. Make sure you have an extension for your socket to reach those 2 bolts by the resonator. It's in just enough that its a pain. Everything in the engine bay is in the way. Thanks Acura Engineering and Design Team.
I mean it's 5 or 6 bolts to remove the headlight, and its 3 bolts on the bracket holding the ballast.

Thanks - had the headlight 90% out when I abandoned things last time. Seemed like a straight on approach to those screws was going to be difficult because of the resonator piece.

Don't feel bad, when I replaced the ballast on my 06 year CLK500 I had to pull apart the headlights because it was inside the headlights
