First thing's first. Are you sure you want to go to 10000k? You will get a LOT less light output than if you stick with 4300k or 5000k.
I and probably everyone else here will say don't go for the 10000k but if it is what you really want, it is your choice.
As far as needing a new ballast... I don't believe so.

The K rating is not the level of light output... it's the color temperature. Anything above 4300K and you start losing lumens.

Stick with 4300k bulbs hid
Stick with 4300k- 5000k
Stock light output is pure white. And thd Phillips bulbs or sylvania bulbs I would only buy.
6000k you get a slight blue tint- and 8-10000k
You get a purple tint
If anyone needs Phillips - 4300-4600k
Hid bulbs I have a pair I am willing to sell them.
$90 a pair
Or $58 each
IM ME IF INTERESTED.

Are you trying to open a nightclub in your garage and use the headlights as black-lights?
The highest I would go is 6000k.

are you replacing ur headlights or fogs?
if you like 10,000k for the color why not do your fogs that. If you change ur headlights with 10k u won't be able to see as much. Good luck
