HFI "dead", diagnosis question - 2007 TL-S
We purchased our TL-S about a year ago, and last month, the HF stopped talking to our phones. From what I've read, and based on the Bluetooth Scanner check in our car, and a friend's '06 TL, the HFI module has quit broadcasting a signal. Since the non-refundable part is at least $180, possibly $225, in your humble opinions, is the lack of discoverability (per Bluetooth Scanner and two phones that work elsewhere) a strong enough case for a replacement HFI Control Unit, or could something else in the car have gone bad? Don't want to make an expensive mistake, if I can help it.
TIA,
Jeremy

if you go to the bluetooth screen on the dash, and it says "booting up" then I guarantee your bluetooth unit is dead. they are about $160 if you go to the right places, personally I got mine for $100. there's nothing else that could have gone bad, im sure its the bluetooth unit
