Hey guys need help, advice

So long story short I brought a 07 type s with a clean Pennsylvania title went to DMV filled out paper work got my registration everything drove a few weeks waiting for title never arrived,so I call up the Albany office for title info and to my horror it came up salvage title,so I explained that title was clean upon purchase no salvage on it,guy who I purchased from had told me it was in a minor accident but never told me it had salvage title and again title was clean so at this point I want the car because it is mint in and out and very low miles so he put good money to fix, only problem now is it has airbag light on. From my understanding the NYC DMV will not issue a title at all unless this problem is resolved I've tried in vain to contact previous seller but he has moved and can not get in contact with him, yesterday I took my car to acura paragon for a oil change and while I was there asked to have a diagnosis done to it to find out why the light is on after a few hours the sales advisor returns and tells me it needs a lot of work to fix all airbag related and it would cost up to 6k in parts and labor wtf...then try's to get me into a new car ,so I left unsure what to do at this point paid the fee and went home slept and decided that I want to keep the car,so I go back to look at the parts I would need and on the receipt the only thing mentioned is the fee to diagnosis and the oil change???? Now my question is shouldn't the receipt have all the parts needed to change and costs? Second does anyone know a good honda acura certified mec who maybe be able to fix at a cheaper cost then the stealership...thanks in advance btw I feel pretty stupid now and bummed out so please no negative comments I'm just asking for advice and help I'm pretty sure we all have done something dumb in our lives we make mistakes and move on

Dude, paragraphs...

1. Yes, you paid for diagnosis, they should list the parts/labor required.

Post the guy's name, address and phone#. Pretty sure someone here can find him

Wow. You sure that car isn't stolen? I'm from Jersey and I know people buy junk cars without a title from salvage yards, fix'em up and sell them and say yes I have a clean title, however without it in writing you have NO case.

How much did you pay for the car? Did you go to PA and buy it? You need to find out what state that car was purchased when it was salvaged. You got pics? Give us something to go on!! Did you get the diagnoses on Paper from Acura? What trade offer did they give you?

You do know at some point those airbags deployed or can at any moment and you're driving a 'Mint' death machine! lol
