Hey all,

I have an 05 TL and I cannot figure out for the life of me why when accelerate sometimes I get a slight hesitation running through gears. 3rd and 4th most noticeably. It seems like it pauses for a split second and then goes on its way. This pause can happen 2 or 3 times in a gear. By the way its a 6 speed. Any suggestions?? Thanks for the help

 

I hav an an 05 too and noticed the same thing. I've noticed that if I let it idle down all the way and take it easy for a bit it doesn't happen. I'm hoping someone can share some light on this.

Same here guys... I've got a 05 with 94k on it. I've already got the new 3rd gear and a new clutch so it's definitely not a transmission issue. I've been an Honda/Acura guy since my first car but I'm starting to think that Toyota/Lexus might be the best way to go. I had to do a starter at 92k and the car has mostly highway miles so I'm getting pretty sick of having to fix things on what should be a trouble free car. Has anyone else had a hesitation issue?

I have a 07 TL-S and I have this problem. Also, seems like in 1st gear the electronic throttle isn't giving me even remotely close to full power. Any other TL-S owners with this problem?

I don't think it's transmission related at all... seems more like an air flow or fuel issue.
