Help-transmission won't engage!

I changed tranny fluid 3 times with amsoil ATF, changed filter, and 3rd and 4th solenoids about 3 years ago. 135k miles
Today the TL would rev out when i went to accelerate. It did this many times until the transmission wouldnt engage and i had to roll off the LIE into a gas station. No gear will work. No lights. No flashing D.
Should i bring to a Acura dealership or a tranny shop?
Any recommendations for a mechanic on Long Island?
Thanks for Help

Update

I called Acura of Smithtown they quoted me $3000 for tranny and $1400 to install with 3yr 36k mile warranty.

I brought my car to TLC transmission in east setauket
Quote. $2500 with 2yr 24k warranty.
Should be done Friday
I'll update after I hear from the guy about what's exactly wrong

Update

Should be getting car back today. The tranny mechanic told me the torque converter failed which caused the internal filter to clog. And this destroyed the 3rd and 4th gears.
