Help! Stuck in limp mode

So I tried to do the daytime running lights today https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-029-diy-independent-fog-lights-stock-switch-772633/

Ran into some problems wiring the combination switch behind the steering wheel. I think I ended up blowing something because my dash and meters aren't working, appears to get stuck between 2nd and 3rd gear, while having harsh shifts to R.

I really regret doing this right now, and are there any options/fixes?

EDIT: I've also checked the fuses and none of them appear to be burnt out.

Are you sure that fuses #7 and/or #21 are good? Pull it out and take a look at it to be sure.

They both control the combo switch, the gauge control unit and the MICU, among other things.

thats not limp mode. limp mode is when you cant accelerate past a certain rpm like 2.5k rpm.

Fuse box labels it as a back-up fuse. Just pulled both the interior and underhood ones out, looks fine.

Anybody know around how much the dealer is going to charge me for a fix?

EDIT: checked #21 also, they both look fine =[

Sorry, thought it was called that. Well I described the symptoms.

My friend also think I may have fried my ECU.

21 both look fine

This whole issue has been irritating. I'm depressed to say the least.

Don't see how. (Assuming you followed the DIY exactly). There's no direct connection between any of those wires and the ECU that I can see in the Electrical Troubleshooting Manual....

Sorry to harp on this, but did you pull both fuses out and look at them from the side to view the wire element inside the fuse?

I'm looking at the flat side straight on, and the wire element inside looks fine. I'll post the pics of it in a bit just to be sure

They look fine. IF we're nitpicking the #7 Fuse in the car looks a little bit "chewed up" (like barely) but the wire element looks intact.

Well, I'm stumped. When you say your "dash and meters aren't working", what exactly do you mean? Do they work, but just don't light up or what?

I suppose it's possible you fried the combo switch control unit....

The problem started, when I started trying to figure which wire would on the combination switch the wire that runs from the foglight relay through the firewall. My combination switch had different colored wires than the one in the guide. The problem started when I cut the yellow wire, which turned out to control the turn signals and trying to rewire that back. I tried hooking that wire back together and then my turn signal didn't work. I found that it would start working when I touched the wire that ran from the foglight relay through the firewall to that yellow turn signal wire. Also happened at the same time I cut the wireloom near the firewall and tried to tap that green wire. I accidentally cut off some gauges while trying to strip it. I tried to rewire that, and it still didn't work.

I'm in a mess right now, and my head is hurting. lol

Yeah, that's another thing my friend said. My instrument cluster isn't lighting, nor are the tach, speedo, temp, and gas meters are moving. Windows also do not work, but radio does.

Do you really think it's just the combo unit that's fried too? I don't see how that explains how my car is stuck between 2nd and 3rd gear and all my other symptoms

After reading the previous two posts, all bets are off. There's no telling if you just didn't get the wires reconnected properly or if something got fried by misconnections....

Yes, sorry I've been busy I'd forgotten to update.

Took my car to the shop you recommended me and Chieu got it all fixed up for me. Thanks for the suggestion.

Turns out it was a blown #6 fuse (D'oh, looked ok to me) and he cleaned up all my wires and even finished doing my DRLs.
