Help with this strange one???

Went to the track other night to test out my truck and decided to bring the TL for some fun and testing sinse I put the light wieght crank pulley.........🤔 That darn thing went SLOW all night 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. Best time was a 15.3 @ 98. Far from back in Jan when she pulled a 14.1@103????? 1st problem was 60ft. Stupid poor 2.5 2.6 all night long! It freaking wierd! This car has never been This slow, in hot summer she would go 14.7 14.8 ans quicker after cool down. At launch we smash it and NADA, just plain lazy had no torque until 4K and vtec the it was moving. the only thing I can think of is the coils, I changed them all in feb or so cuz I got a smoking good deal on all 6 new ones. (BWD Borge Warner) those are the only two changes done to the car. Could that be it? It runs fine and actually after coil replacement it felt more responsive and smoother, I did notice mpg have been down some like 1 up to 2 mpg. But I wasnt sure with heavy foot. I'm thinking of swapping back to oem coils (hitachi) Sisne they are available at work. Ideas???
Sold old coils unfortunately so I can just swap in 😔

Wow can't believe it but I figured it out, it was the dam coils! Returned the BWD BRAND and got me hitachi (oem) ones and wow! Huge diff! U can actually see a diff in quality between the two and these bad boys are made in Japan! BWd are made in Poland. I thought BWd was a good brand but guess not. The car felt fine to me but I had noticed drop in MPG. I've had the car in garage had not driven a whole lot to notice, once at the track and after new coils it was quite obvious. STICk with OEM FYI! I'll confirm suspicion tomorrow at the track

Ok fellas, suspicion was confirmed. I replaced all the coils with oem coils and was only able to make ONE pass cuz it was so dam packed. 14.6 @ 99. Huge diff from the consistent 15s she was last time I went to track. Lesson learned! Stick with oem parts! I work in the auto part industry and unfortunately a lot of after market stuff is poor quality these days. Just FYI

Glad you figured it out. I was going to recommend changing your flux capacitor, or have your muffler bearings checked out. Then again I had a similar issue when my blinker fluid was low... I am still puzzled
