Help Pulling Apart Passenger Side Mirror

I recently bought an 07 Acura TL Type S and I am new to the forums. After owning the car for a few days I noticed that the passenger side mirror plastic is separated. I am looking for some help on how to actually pull the mirror apart so I can put it back together correctly. Sorry for any confusion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll say take it back to the dealer. if it wasn't to long ago when you bought the car, they should fix it for free. it should snap back together I think. not to sure though.

My driver's side mirror is doing the same thing. I think the previous owner may have clipped a mailbox or something. Paint seems fine though. I actually asked my dealer to fix it and they would not do it. They said they didn't want to snap off the inner tabs by forcing it too hard. I've actually searched through the side mirror section in the Helms Service Manual, and there are not any instructions on disassembling the mirrors. There's only details about how to remove the glass. Anyone else have any good suggestions?
