Power outlet in car not working

Got my car back from the body shop because of my accident and now I notice my cars power outlet (near the radio) is not working. It worked before the accident now it doesnt. The other one in the arm rest works fine

Any ideas what could be the problem?

I think the radio has its own fuse I looked at the fuse chart in back of the cover and there is a slot called ACC 7.5A i pulled the fuse and the start of where the prongs come out looked blacked.. SO I took it out turn on the car radio didn't work and my car wouldnt come out of park even if i had my foot on the break. So i put it back in and everything worked.. I dont understand why they would disconnect the plug.

I spoke to the Body shop they should they shouldnt have touched anything but i should bring it down. But they are a bunch of fucking idiots and dont want them touching my car again (long story). They only changed curtain and the seats side air bag. The rear driver side wheel area was damaged.

I don't really know whats going on. Anyone know the exact fuse?

If memory serves, check the blue 15 Amp fuse, 3rd from the rear on the bottom row of the fuse panel by the hood release.

Burnt fuse will have a black burn mark inside the plastic where there is normally a strip of metal.

Umm you have to replace it with a fuse, otherwise there is no power going to the outlet

in order to remove the radio and get behind the dash, the top power outlet needs to be removed. Its an easy mistake to forget to plug it in, take it back and have them plug it in. Both outlets are on the same fuse...

I didnt want to make a new thread, is there a DIY removal of the power outlet (near the radio) so I can just check if its plugged in? I dont really want to take it to them if I can do it myself.

Thanks

no, to get to the back of the outlet. I had this happen to me with the rear one, ended up being that i pulled it and disconnected it when i installed my ipod interface.

take the metal strips on either side of the console off starting from the back moving forward pulling up then toward you (as you get up near radio)and you'll see all the screws underneath it and you should be able to figure out which ones hold the outlet in.

GL!

They forgot to plug it back in behind the console. I made the same error when installing my short throw.
