HELP FAST!! Alarm keeps going off
Not sure whats going on but neighbours are going to kill me.
About 3 days ago my alarm stopped activating. i would double click the lock button but wouldnt hear a beep.
All doors, trunk, hood and windows are closed. Yet the red light on drivers door does not turn on.
Now the Alarms keeps going off, its the 4th time tonight and im getting really annoyed...

I had the same problem but the door sensor wasn't activating when I closed the driver door, have you tried sitting in the vehicle and locking it up?you probably have but I might as well throw it out there.
Does anyone have a circuit board for the alarm? Its gone off 12 times today and im worried it will start messing up other things... Ive removed the fuse for my horn but the lights keep flashing when the system is activated.

Open your hood and disconnect the latch sensor. Then try to activate your alarm. If it arms you have a faulty switch in the hood latch. Comes free with the purchase of the hood latch. If that doesn't work try the trunk latch. I'm assuming all door locks work properly. If all else fails bring it to the dealer. They can see what sensor keeps setting off the alarm.

There are 8 components to the alarm system which can trigger the alarm by having an open circuit. They are as follows:
Engine Hood
Trunk
4 doors
Radio
Ingition in the steering column.
When you lock your car with your remote and hit the lock button twice you should have a confirming beep (assuming you have it set up that way in the MID) that the car is locked and the alarm is armed. As you have noted the LED is not flashing on the driver's door indication an open circuit.
What I don't necessarily understand is that it sounds like you are able to arm the alarm and it is going off later. So you might have a short or bad connection somewhere.

Thanks alex for the opportunity and hope both you and I find resolution. BTW, I disconnected my ground battery cable just in case.
check the MID on your dash to see if it shows any open doors...even though they are closed.
Another thing you can try is...Leave your drivers seat belt latched even after exiting the car.
I had some water leak onto my fuse panel ( drivers side foot well ) which would trigger my alarm.
Car kept thinking door was ajar when it wasnt.
I figured that latching the seatbelt would allow me to lock my car without alarm going off.
This was due to a leaking windshield.
Replaced it and hasnt happend since.

I also had a leaking windshield...but no problems with the alarm thanks god. it could be a door sensor that broke.
Off Topic: The leaking windshield started leaking after an Acura tech replaced it when a rock hit it, I went to them several times and nothing, they said there was nothing wrong. After a few months, the leaks got so bad I took it to a friends body shop, I also need a new bumper and hood from an accident...he took off the windshield, and there were huge holes, he had to replace part of the roof, so if it's leaking, confront the problem immediately!

alex-forgive me for stepping in but I too posted a similiar thread in this section but got no response, so may I? One morning my alarm made unusual horn sounds and found out the car would not start-bought new battery. Then found same issues with me except my alarm was not going off but as I sat in my car trying to troubleshoot, I noticed my MID was showing the diagram of the car indicating the trunk was open-checked to see if it was and it was closed shut. Any ideas?

Now members my question is how do I test the alarm to see if it works. I tried to roll down all windows, set alarm and pull the door switch up but that only disarms it as the red light stops blinking. I also tried to set alarm and push the trunk button which did activate the alarm once and subsequent attempts failed. Sorry for the long story..

Congrats on figuring this out.
In terms of testing the alarm - this is from the Owner's Manual.
Once the security system is set,
opening any door (without using the
key or the remote transmitter), the
hood, or the trunk will cause the
system to alarm.
So if you get in the car and set the alarm with the remote and then open any of the doors, trunk or hood, it should alarm.

Update/WTF
Well, the dang trunk indicator reared its UGLY head once again. Again I can't arm the alarm.
When the alarm was working I did try to set off the alarm but when pulling door lock knob up on any door it disarms the alarm because the red indicator on driver door stops blinking. I also tried to roll driver window down, set alarm and push the trunk release....it worked but only once.
I think the trunk latch pin switch is faulty so I am gonna order one from Tim over at Oemacuraparts.
