3 of them are for the motor, I doubt that your transmission mounts are done as well... the ones from excelerate are a bit firmer and stronger than the OEM ones.

If you don't mind a slight cabin vibration but with improved handling, no wheel spin or hop, and lifetime warranty on solid motor mounts, go with innovative mounts. I love them.

it'll vibrate a bit since the car rev's a little higher and misfires slightly to warm up the cat's due to ULEV systems. A good way to know if they are broken are to have the car completely warmed up and go into the middle of the road. Stop like you would at a red-light. Does the shifter, steering-wheel or seat vibrate? If yes, shift into neutral, does it stop? If yes, then your mounts are bad.

You do realize that the bolts could be loose as well for the mounts right?

My car does that almost exactly as you described it, but it's only been since I put the XLR8 j-pipe on......I've checked connections, but they are tight. How can I tell if the mounts are bad? Is it something I can visually see?

^ you can see the front & side mount clearly.. it's difficult to tell if they're bad. You need one person to watch the front mount to check the clearance to tell if it's bad.. the side mount you can remove by jacking up the engine with a wood block under the oil pan.. if it's ripped & leaking.. it's a goner and a good indication that the front mount has failed as well.

So I went to my dealer (Bella International in Purtor Rico) for sevice to my car and, amongst a bunch of other things, they said I had to change the front motor mount, two transmission mounts, and two crossmember mounts. I have never trusted this dealer, and now that I realized they also said I had to change my front brake pads and, when I did, I discovered they werent even down to half worn, I trust then even less. I really have no clue if I should really check if these mounts are done or I could live with this. I have no issues with the car when I drive it. Any advice?

Dealership is hosing me on my 100k service

First I call in and they say $600 then when I show up its $759 timing belt service, Mr. Brown - at least they're polite. I ask what happened to the $600 and they said, "Oh, we must have quoted you on a 92 tsx." That's weird, I didn't think they made the tsx in 92, but I'm like whatever. I just want to get it done and move on, don't really have time to be focusing on this. About an hour later I get a call from the service department and the timing belt tensioner is shot, my engine motor mounts are blown and my breaks barely stopped the car when they pulled it into the service bay. They make it sound like total pandemonium has broken out in the service department and a couple of the technicians are in the corner crying from what they just saw. But in a calm voice the service lady says. The good news is that we can fix one of the motor mounts for only parts $95. The front motor mount is going to be $410 and we'll throw in the tensioner for just part too at $150. And we can get the brakes all back together for you for just $500, this way when we pull the car back around from the service department it wont careen out of control into the show room floor.

What's the deal? Am I getting hosed or what?

I told them to replace the tensioner as i had a bad timing belt experiance with a toyota camry I tried to replace in 00.

Am I biting off more than I can chew with the motor mounts?

I am a relatively new DIY'er and replaced all 3 motor mounts. You will probably need to get some extensions for your socket set as the front and rear (especially) are a PTA to get to. Otherwise floor jack, jack stands, basic tools you should be fine. I would def give yourself a weekend to get it done.

Sorry, but a SLIGHT cabin vibration is an understatement.
