Help Electrical Issue
Help Electrical Issue
Took my car to auto radio place, the guy removed my HF unit & replaced and plugged the sunroof plug to the light cluster, my sun roof went up, dash lights, turn signals, all windows, are dead. Interior lights are fine, not one blown fuse under dash or hood. Can it be a modual. Door lock/ alarm is fine, open doors and blue dash lights and driver 1 detected works. Turn on headlamps NO DASH LIGHTS. Took off battery, thought might reset, no way. Can I crank roof down. ALSO A/C not working. The guy has no clue, I withheld pmt. & won't let him touch the car. Most auto electric want $99hr to diagnose. Dealer $139.00 hr. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I don't believe the not one blown fuse. Either fuse 21 (most likely) or 7 (less likely) is dead under dash. Interior lights, for the record, are on fuse 6.
Let's troubleshoot that, then the AC.

Going To Check Again!
Thanks for reply, going to check again. I went to Auto Zone, they pulled fuses said none under dash or hood are blown. Had back surgery last month but going to get under there Wed. I held manual & called out fuse numbers to the employee. I noticed the power windows each have a fuse under dash & 50 amp screwed in under hood box. I'm going to look at every fuse, if they are in fact good, what next? Relays? Dealer said could be ECM modual? Quoted possibly $500. just to trouble shoot. Dealer who has big reputation for rip off tells me might have to remove dash to get to module. Also can't tell if check engine light is on. Should I try to see if a code comes up? So frustrated & upset, waited a year to replace H/F unit. At least the guy admits to plugging in the wrong plug, just can't see how Home Links & interior lights work & dim. Is there a manual crank for sunroof like Audi? Sorry for the ramble.
I owe you dinner polobunny
Fuse number 21 was blown! Now have windows, turn signals, washer/wiper, dash lights and the HF board I baked in the oven paired my Samsung Galaxy. You are the best, ever in Tampa, look me up (954) 917-6750. Thanks, Stuart
Hey Stuart, glad you got it fixed. Montreal's a bit far from Tampa, so I likely won't be taking on your offer anytime soon but I appreciate the kind feelings. I've also edited the number from my quote so you don't get picked by phone spammers or anything.
Is there anything else that doesn't seem to be working now?
