My drivers side door latch was malfunctioning this morning, right as I got to work it wouldn't shut at all. So I locked the door to keep it shut, and now it won't open.

I've tried to jiggle the latches on the inside/outside, but still nothing. The lock isn't the issue, it can be in both locked or unlocked position, and nothing changes.

When I unlock it with the key, it unlocks the other doors, and the lever on the drivers side goes to the unlocked (up) position, but it won't open. And the inside open latch seems to move freely, as opposed to the pressure you can typically feel when the door is about to open.

Any help? I've done some searches on here, but none of the threads had any real solutions, just problems and advice.

sounds like a problem inside the door.
you'll need to figure some way to open the door, then remove the door panel to investigate what is going on.
a spring or latch might have come undone, but you'll need to open the door then remove the door panel to figure it out.

So after leaving it alone for an hour, the door opened right up after unlocking it with the key (which I tried 25 times before).

Irony.
