ok. i have an 04 tl base. just did my thermostat today. after i put everything together. i have this warning display= VSA i try to push the button that wont turn off it stay on. the check engine light is on and the D light blinking. so what did i do wrong? the temp gauge has come up to temp and the top radiator hose is hot and the bottom one that connect to the thermostat is cold. any idea what wrong or what to do greatly appreciated.

oh when i went for a drive. its doesn't want to go at all. it rev about 3-4 rpm and take off slowly. is my tranny done?

 

sorry folks for wasting this threat. i have found the issued. i had took out a couple of sensor plugs. went back to pull everything out and found one of the sensor wire under the thermostat housing wasn't plug in all the way. pushed that in until it lock. restart the car and no more flashing D light or check engine light. one again i apologize for wasting a threat.

 

No worries it may help someone out! these cars are so full of sensors and connections it only takes one to ruin your whole day! Good job tracking it down, it is usually always something like that that gets missed on the reinstall
