Help!!!! Battery overcharging fuses blown

Help!!!! Battery overcharging fuses blown

Hey there 04 TL base model.charging at 17.4 volts replaced alternator OEM serious draw on batt and when I hook it up blows fuses.blew the main fuse block fuse replaced it. Car runs but has no power to anything .only thing that works hazard lights and brake lights that it. Start car with new alternator charging at 18.4 volts I turned it off immediately. I unplugged alternator unhooked amplifier HFL and pulled ACC fusses .I pulled every fuse out one at a time still have major draw WTH!!!! BRAIN HURTS ..... BATT is almost 2 yrs old its showing almost 12 volts maybe fusible link I'm out of options thanks for any help

The voltage regulator must be toast. That's just a guess.

Time to replace the alternator. I have seen faulty alternators out of the box.

Computer fried

Well figured out the problem.Altenator overcharged fried the main fuse underhood.Then it fried inside fuse box.Then it also fried the SRS module, and the cars ECU.!!!!!!!! EFFFF YOU PEPBOYS IN WOODBRIDGE VA. YOU JUST COST ME ALOT OF MONEY TIME AND AGGRAVATION!!!!!!!!

you may be able to get them to pay for the damages since their part blew up your car. get the local Acura dealer to diag it for you and stick it to them. Part warranty will typically cover damages caused by their part failure. This is why I do not use aftermarket parts outside of brake pads and rotors from the local store. Those alternators are rebuilt to the lowest standard possible.
